If someone would have told me 10 years ago that the stoner from "Freaks and Geeks" would star in a movie with Barbra Streisand, I would probably have slapped them, and said, "Yeah, and Sandra Bullock will win an Oscar."
But here it is! Seth Rogen and Barbra Streisand in a rather light-hearted roadtrip comedy that's a cross between 1996's Mother and 1995's Tommy Boy.
Is it just me, or has Seth Rogen lost his edge? We're headed into Ben Stiller territory here, folks. Scratch that. Martin Lawrence. A roadtrip comedy? I'm glad to see Rogen not toking up for a change, but this movie looks a crumpled-up paycheck.
Also, Ms. Streisand isn't going to get off easy. We get nothing from her since Meet the Fockers (I refuse to acknowledge Little Fockers), and this is her follow-up?
