Every fall, I get very excited for the return of my favorite and new television shows on all of the networks. It's kind of like starting school and catching up with all of your friends and seeing who moved into town.
Maybe it's because some of my favorite shows like "Community" have been moved around in the lineup (to *gulp* Fridays. . .behind "Whitney"!), but I'm just not that excited about television this season.
It's also probably because there's no anticipation behind fall TV anymore because most of the pilot episodes for new shows have been online for weeks, like "Go On," "The New Normal," and "The Mindy Project."

The start dates don't matter anymore! None of the networks are making a big deal about Premiere Week because most of their new shows have already had soft premieres online!
You already know what's going to fail ahead of time, which takes the fun out of my game of "Survivor: The Fall Lineup." Instead of television shows finding an audience on their own, they find them online first, almost like audiences are a part of the "workshopping" process.
I honestly can't even tell you when any of my shows come back. What year is this? Is "My Boys" still on? Oh, the chick from that show has a new show that sucks? Hell, I'll just flip to "Honey Boo Boo."

I miss "My Boys"
