Look out!
It's not Spider-Man that's slinging his web from building to building in the NYC area---it's Matthew Perry!
My friend has been sending me photos of the gigantic advertisements for NBC's "Go On," as it "rapes" buildings in the city (whether it's "legitimate" rape or not is still up for debate).
Based on these ads, doesn't it look a little like the title is, "GOON"?
Is the show about a scary ice hockey player? Is Matthew Perry a superhero ala Eric Cartman's "The Coon"? Or is it a TV adaptation of The Goonies (and will Perry do the truffle shuffle)?
It's none of the above. It's actually about Perry's character trying to get over the death of his wife (and it's a comedy, natch!).
I also don't like the condescension in the title. For some reason, "Go On" conjures up images of Ted Knight on the golf course.
You can watch the "Pilot" episode here, before it officially premieres September 11:
I've started a drinking game around this show for every time Chandler Perry makes this face.
