I watched the Pittsburgh Pirates play the Chicago Cubs last night at PNC Park.
And unfortunately, after I got there, I learned that Hal Sparks, comedian and VH1 "I Love the [insert decade here] enthusiast, would be throwing out the first pitch at today's afternoon game against the Cubbies, in honor of the sudden Pirate obsession with Zoltan, his character in Dude, Where's My Car?
Blast! So close. In the mid-2000s, I had an obsession with Hal based on his "I Love the '80s" commentary. So insightful. So quirky. So cute.
But seriously. You would have thought Hal would have been asked to throw out the first pitch sooner, considering that he starred in "Queer as Folk," which was about *ahem* pitching and catching in Pittsburgh.
