Years ago, when Natalie Maines and the Dixie Chicks were ostracized from country music for Maines' remarks against President Bush at a London concert, conservatives were up in arms about the criticism, while many liberals seemed to support the statements.
Fast forward, eight years later. Kelly Clarkson is taking heat for her Twitter remarks about the support of Republican presidential nominee Ron Paul.
Don't get me wrong. I hate when celebrities sound off on Twitter, but this controversy seems rather harmless, especially when Clarkson's statements were probably the most nonconfrontational of anything on the Twitter-verse.
This isn't John Rocker here. Clarkson's saying she supports someone in the presidential race. Big whoop. And let's not gloss over other political headlines in the news worth talking about:
He's doing WHAT?!?

My favorite headlines are the ones about "Santorum surging in the polls."
